These items are earned as rewards for being part of the Insider Programme.The Silver Blade Set is a set of cosmetic items for pioneering sailors daring enough to scout uncharted waters. The set is adorned with a stylistic compass symbol with rhombus shaped gems; the colour palette is of blue, grey, and whites, with highlights of cyan/turquoise. The Black Dog Set, Mercenary Set, and Aristocrat Set share similar base models for many of their items.
These items are obtainable exclusively through the Insider Programme as part of its reward scheme. Players receive rewards every week of at least 1 hour (non-consecutive) playtime on the the Insider build; the Silver Blade items are awarded every 5th week until the 30th week. Starting on the 31st week, the rest of the Silver Blade items are awarded every 3rd week, except on the 37th week, from that point on until the 108th week. Lore[]
The Silver Blade is featured in the book, Tales from the Sea of Thieves. It was owned and captained by Captain Flameheart's adopted son, Junior, who sailed the ship into the Sea of Thieves seeking adventure and riches. An encounter with rival pirates lead to the ship's unfortunate end, leaving Junior and his crew stranded on an island where the crew would eventually turn into Skeletons, and Junior would begin his life as a Skeleton Lord.
Some time after this, the Silver Blade was discovered by Diving Bel and Nine-Cat Nura, who managed to retrieve the Cursed Chest, which was still in the brig.
Even later, the Silver Blade was dredged up from the bottom of the sea by the Merfolk, left adrift without a crew. Dimitri, an unknown pirate and his crew happened upon it, deciding to take the vessel for themselves. Dimitri would learn of the ship once belonging to Junior. While sailing the ship, they discovered a vault filled with the bones of the Sea King and the Chest of Everlasting Sorrow. After hauling their find to the ship, they were relentlessly pursued by Skeleton Ships, causing them to flee into open water. At this point, they were attacked by Sirens, who dragged the ship below to the Siren Citadel along with the crew. The cries from the Chest of Everlasting Sorrow awakened the Sirens, believing their King has returned. The Siren Queen, discovering his soul was trapped in the chest, attempted to free him but was unable to. She then decided to turn the Silver Blade into a monument for her fallen love, with the chest locked in the captain's cabin.
In The Sunken Pearl, the Silver Blade is seen inside of the siren kingdom, accompanied by 5 journals written by "Dimitri of the Silver Blade". The ship would be used by player pirates to scale the Siren Citadel and battle against the kraken. Players could also find the key to the captain's cabin to claim the Chest of Everlasting Sorrow.
The Sliver Blade would be mentioned in one of Servant of the Flame's journals during Lost Sands. Hinting of a deep attachment to his first ship.
One major difference exists between the Silver Blade seen in-game and its book counterpart. While it is confirmed to be the same ship[1], the figurehead seen in-game is of a white eagle, while in Tales from the Sea of Thieves, the Silver Blade's figurehead is described as a "spellbinding portrayal of a girl setting free a dove [...] gripped by [what is presumed to be] the cold hands of death". This description more closely matches concept art seen in The Art of Sea of Thieves, which has since been released in-game as the Aristocrat Figurehead.

Trivia[]
- The Silver Blade ship set has an alternative figurehead to both the one depicted in the game and described in Tales from the Sea of Thieves. The actual figurehead can be found in the Shrine of Ocean's Fortune. This is a white and turquoise version of the Aristocrat and Culture Aristocrat figureheads.
- Consequently, the Silver Blade found in the Siren Citadel is missing.
- The Silver Blade logo shares the logo with the Sea of Thieves Insider Programme.
