Base Gold Reward 1000 - 2000 Gold

Mermaid Gems are the cores of Cursed Mermaid Statues that are found on the shores of Islands. Upon destruction, these statues will release the Gemstone, which can then be sold to any of the Companies (with the exception of Athena's Fortune and Sea Dogs) for Reputation and Gold. Mermaid Gems can also be found washed up on the shores of Islands, eaten by Megalodons or Krakens and stashed on Shipwrecks, Skeleton Ships or inside a Fortress Vault. Due to their high gold yield and value to any of the Trading Companies, Mermaid Gems are one of the most sought after items on the seas for leveling up chosen Factions.
