The Sea of Thieves is a windy region, with a cool breeze always blowing one or other way, perfect for sailing Ships!
Wind Mechanics[edit | edit source]
Whenever a Player steps on board of a Ship they will intuitively begin to see the wind blowing as a gentle breeze of wavy transparent white lines. The direction of the Wind is always the same for a single server, however its direction will often change. The direction of the wind is the most important part of Sailing any Ship, as to be expected, going against the wind will make your boat slow down to a crawl, while sailing with full billow will propel the ship forward at great speeds.
