Plunder Outpost

Plunder Outpost is one of seven Outposts and is located within the region of The Ancient Isles at coordinate J-18.

The island has tall, rocky peaks towering above the Outpost buildings.

The primary dock is on the west side, with a second, broken dock to the north east.

Mechanics[]

Outposts are island towns where crews and their ships spawn when beginning a game, or sometimes after their ship is sunk.
Outposts contain shops where items can be purchased. Each Outpost contains a tavern and one of each shop.
Representatives of Trading Companies can be found at Outposts, from whom crews can pick up Voyages and sell treasure.
Players can represent these companies as Emissaries by using Emissary Tables here.

ZZ Marks the Spot: On a wooden beam in the tavern, there is a plaque dedicated to ZZ-DE-TOX-ZZ for drinking the most grog in a single Technical Alpha play session.
Aim High: Above the Skeleton Throne on the eastern peak, there is the remains of a skeleton to commemorate Deadsniper15915 for firing themselves out of a cannon the most during the Technical Alpha for E3 2017.

The design of the island may be a reference to "DK Isle" from the Donkey Kong Country video game developed by Rare Ltd for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1994.

- Players can no longer walk through the ropes attached to the Sovereigns' lift at Plunder Outpost.

- Mermaids should no longer appear near the Sovereign marquee when players approach the edge of the Island.

- Construction has begun on a new building near the west docks.
- Players should no longer be launched up into the air when pushing in between rocks.
- Players should no longer discover a floating patch of grass out in the bay.

2.4.1 (January 20, 2022)
- The Drowned Rat Tavern on Plunder Outpost should no longer have a Sitting spot located in the floor.

2.3.1 (October 14, 2021)
- The signposts found on Plunder Outpost are now interactable. They provide directions to the nearest Trading Company representatives and the docks, helping players find the most direct route to wherever they need to be.

- Castaway's Camp is now finished and The Castaway appears next to it.

- Construction began on Castaway's Camp.
- Added a Glitterbeard journal to the tavern.

- Duke Leaves the Outpost once more and Larinna takes his place.

- There are now Emissary Tables for each faction on the island.

- Duke returns back to the outpost and Stitcher Jim leaves.
- Added interaction prompts to player Easter Eggs.

- Added the shroudbreaker Tall Tale book into the Tavern.

- It no longer rains in the Pirate Legend Hideout at Plunder Outpost.

- The shop owners have returned to there shops and the mast in the middle of the island has disappeared.

- The shop owners of the Equipment Shop and the General Clothing Shop now appear outside of the shops.
- There is a skeleton on a mast in the middle of the island.
- Players can no longer get stuck between the wharf and the tree at Plunder Outpost.
