This article is about the Treasure Items. For the Event, see Dark Relics (Event). |
Dark Relics were a type of Order of Souls Treasure, added with the Dark Relics Content Update. These mystic voodoo figures could be dug up with a Shovel during Dark Relic Voyages and turned in to Order of Souls Representatives at Outposts for Gold, Reputation and Commendations.
With the exception of the Ritual Skull, now a Bilge Rats Treasure, the Dark Relics are no longer available.
NOTE: Some Dark Relics cannot be placed inside Collector's Chests, despite being small enough to fit. This is more than likely a bug.
Types
There were 6 types of Dark Relics that all had a chance to be dug up on Dark Relic Voyages:
Artefact | Gold Reward | Notes |
---|---|---|
Evil Eye | 3715 - 4995 | |
Mutinous Effigy | 3510 - 5205 | |
Enchantment Vessel | 3770 - 5460 | Referred to as the "Black Coffer" in Commendations. |
Hexing Skull | 4200 - 5405 | |
Bewitching Doll | 3,500 | The only Dark Relic that has a guaranteed Gold price, with the rest having variable prices. |
Ritual Skull | 1200 - 4885 | Can be sold to Duke for 10 doubloons. |
Trivia
- The two Skull items, Hexing Skull and Ritual Skull have the whispering sound that plays with regular Bounty Skulls. The rest of the Relics are quiet.
- Dark Relics give off the regular white glint of Treasure Chests.
- Ritual Skulls are not a part of the guaranteed Dark Relics spawn table in Dark Relic Voyages and therefore seem rarer than regular Dark Relics. Instead, they share their spawn rate with the 4 Devil's Roar Trinkets and a Crate of Ancient Bone Dust that can be dug up aside from the Dark Relics.
- A Dark Relic resembling a shark was seen in an e-mail newsletter from Rare, but never appeared in the event.
