The Coral Skeleton is a unique variant of Skeleton found in Sea of Thieves. Unlike the other skeletons, Coral Skeletons can only be spawned during a Tall Tales quest. They appear to have about as much health as normal skeletons but appear in large groups and spawn as long as the Crew is on the Island.
Summary[edit | edit source]
Coral Skeletons spawn in waves as part of certain sections of Tall Tales. They mostly appear to guard Ancient Vaults or on an Island when some Tall Tales are completed, endlessly chasing the player characters down. Aside from a unique glow effect that seems to persist only when players are within a relatively close range, they are no different to ordinary Skeletons. Like all other variants of skeleton, they can spawn with bare hands, a Cutlass, a pistol, or a blunderbuss, and they can eat Bananas to recover their health. There is no reward to killing Coral Skeletons.
Tips and Tricks[edit | edit source]
- Like all Skeletons, Coral Skeletons are unable to swim. If you are outnumbered, you can easily escape them by moving to deeper water. This will not stop ranged Coral Skeletons from shooting at you.
- As they have no vulnerabilities or immunities and there is no reward for tackling them, there is no meta strategy to defeating Coral Skeletons other than normal PvE combat or simply running away from them.
